About RNG 4 America

RNG 4 America Mission Statement

RNG 4 America 's mission is to make RNG simple and easy for all small fleets that that want to participate and financially benefit in the RNG credit market.

What if your energy could be both powerful and planet-friendly?

Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) is transforming the way we fuel our homes, businesses, and vehicles—by turning everyday waste into clean, sustainable energy.

Renewable Natural Gas Explained

RNG is produced from organic waste—like food scraps, agricultural residues, and wastewater—captured and refined into pipeline-quality gas. It’s chemically similar to conventional natural gas but 100% renewable and carbon-neutral.

Why Choose RNG?

  •  ✅ Reduces Greenhouse Gas Emissions
RNG captures methane that would otherwise escape into the atmosphere, making it one of the most effective tools in the fight against climate change.
  • ♻️ Turns Waste into Energy
From landfills to livestock farms, RNG gives new life to waste materials, creating a circular economy that benefits everyone.
  • 🚛 Supports Clean Transportation
RNG is a proven fuel for trucks, buses, and fleets—offering lower emissions and better air quality without sacrificing performance.

Step-by-Step Breakdown

  1.  Organic Waste Collection
Sources include agricultural waste, food waste, municipal solid waste, and wastewater sludge.
  2. Anaerobic Digestion
Microorganisms break down organic material in the absence of oxygen, producing raw biogas (mostly methane and CO₂).
  3. Biogas Upgrading
The raw biogas is purified to remove CO₂, H₂S, VOCs, and other impurities. Technologies like membrane separation are commonly used
  4. RNG Production
The purified biogas becomes Renewable Natural Gas (RNG), which is chemically similar to fossil natural gas.
  5. Compression to CNG
RNG is compressed to form Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), suitable for use in vehicles.
  6. Dispensing for Transportation
CNG is dispensed at fueling stations. Even if the physical gas is not RNG, a virtual contract links the RNG production to the CNG usage.
  7. RIN Generation
Under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS), producers can generate Renewable Identification Numbers
